Dear Southerners,

When you ask me what my baby's name is and I say, "She's Madeline."   Please don't turn around and say, "Mad-uh-lynn, what a pretty name!"

It's pronounced Mad-a-line.  Just like I said in the first place.  Mad-a-LINE.  Like a line drawing.  If I'd wanted her called "Madelynn"  I would have spelled it that way.

Thank you for clearing up my stuffy nose. But it would have been even better had you actually let me sleep last night too. Waking up at 1am wide awake and staying that way until nearly 5 is no fun. Especially with small children in the house who seem to think 6:30 counts as sleeping in. *yawn*
